This is my GarageBand song I made for the romance trailer, as the trailer finishes we needed the volume of the track to be lower so we got a softer ending, so this screen shot shows my work and the ending with a lower volume at the end.

Research and planning: the voice over script

This is the script I used to read over the top of the score for my film trailer. I decided to speak over the top of my trailer in an american accent because this conventionally is the most popular voice over accent. By using this accent also made the trailer look more professional.

Here are some examples of teaser trailers. These trailers aren't fully romance trailer however they all have elements of romance in these films. This way I can compare my trailer to these teaser trailers and compare the elements.

My trailer is starting to have the elements of a teaser trailer, under two minutes, showing snippets of the film scenes and also mentions the release time to be in spring. Now I have researched in to teaser trailer I can start to include more elements into my work.

Research and planning: Why my trailer is a teaser trailer

My trailer has the conventions of a teaser trailer because:

• It is 1.20 seconds long therefore it is not long enough to be a theatrical trailer.
• Because only snippets of the film are shown this teases the audience and makes them want to watch the whole film.
• We took key scenes from our film which illustrated pivotal points such as love, conflict and tragedy. 
• We reorganised the scenes so they are not chronological so that we wouldn't give to much of the plot away, however our scenes would work to appeal to our target audience.

Research and planning: group meeting

Me and my partner with our tutor had a meeting about our product we spoke about the length and the sequence of it. As we was advised to take more clips out and edit more critically this made our trailer shorter leaving it at 1:19 in total. This came to our attention and therefore we decided to research more in to teaser trailers as ours would end up being one.
